Prayer Points and Praise Reports
Worship and Repentance
A Scriptural Prayer to apply to the North Olympic Peninsula (NOP). 1 Chronicles 16:8-11 – Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Worship – Sing to Him, sing praise to him; tell of all His wonderful acts. • Think or sing through a song or two that exalts Jesus. Turn it in to a prayer by changing some keys words as appropriate. • Worship Jesus in ways or patterns that are familiar to you. • Ponder two or three names of Jesus. Worship Him because these are true descriptions of who He is. • Worship Jesus as revealed in John 1:3-4
Prayer Requests
Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem – Psalms 122:6-8; Romans 11:11-15
● That all Israelis will see that political and social solutions won’t bring real and lasting peace, only Yeshua can give true peace.
● That believers around the world will truly have God’s heart for Israel; loving them unconditionally, as He does, and will have a right understanding from Scripture of His purposes for Israel and the Church.
Pray for the NOP – This month’s focus is Marriages in North Olympic Peninsula – Psalms 127:1a; Titus 2:11-14; James 4:1 Since June is “wedding month”:
- Couples would have realistic goals and a good understanding of what makes marriage work well.
- Couples would receive good pre-marital counseling.
- All married couples in NOP would understand and walk in God’s design for marriage. That selfishness would be diminished and servanthood would flourish.
- Couples who are struggling would look for and find the help they need. Pray for ministries that minister to marriages.
- Children would grow up observing good models of marriage.
Global Prayer-Focus on Afghanistan- Persecution level is Extreme. According to Open Doors, USA, Afghanistan is in the top 10 on the World Watch List for persecution. Almost all of the Christians have converted from Islam and are at very high risk in Afghanistan. Please pray: for the protection of secret believers and that God’s close presence will bring peace, joy and hope to their hearts; that those that have fled to neighboring countries will be led to safe places and their needs will be met; that the Holy Spirit will soften the hearts of the Taliban leaders towards women and religious minorities.
Your congregation: Ask your pastor or other church leaders for specific requests for your congregation.
Personal Response to Prayer Time
(Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil):As we go from this place, we ready ourselves and put on our armor (Ephesians 6:10-18). We are clothed in Christ, in the armor of light that He has provided (Romans 13;12).
